About

I am a Certified Fitness Nutrition Coach and Certified Personal Trainer through NESTA (National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association). I am a health-freak, fitness junkie, who likes trying new activities/sports and sharing my knowledge with others who want to get in their best shape. Working out has always been my hobby, my stress release, my medicine. Exercise is empowering and it is for EVERYONE. I love reading all kinds of health and fitness books, and staying abreast of the latest research in exercise, nutrition and living a healthy lifestyle. I also competed in several Figure competitions and plan to get back to the stage sometime in the near future.

One thing that frustrates the most in the arena of “health and fitness” is the abundance of misinformation that exists in the media today. I’ve heard far too many conversations about carbohydrates being bad, women avoiding lifting heavy for fear of turning into the Incredible Hulk, and crazy/unhealthy diet plans. I started this blog because I want to share what I have learned over the years, separate fact from fiction and help people get on the right path to good health. Believe me, it isn’t NEARLY as complicated as the media makes it out to be!

If you need help losing fat, learning to eat healthy, designing a workout or simply getting motivated to begin a fitness program please leave me a comment and I will contact you.  If you think a blog post is interesting, have questions about anything I’ve written or want to request a certain topic for me to write about then please comment away! Everyone needs help and I am here to give it – let me know how I can help today!
